Graphics and pictures
Please ask for permission to use any photographs or graphics at
this web site. All graphics at this web site belong to me but I
do not own the rights to all of the pictures. In cases where I
do not own the rights to a picture displayed at this web site,
they were displayed here with permission from the owner.
If I cannot give you permission to use a photo, I will direct
you to the person who can. However, I cannot guarantee that the
owner of a photograph(s) will permit your use of their
picture(s). Most are friendly people more than willing to share
though. After all, they shared their pictures with me. ;)
Genealogy Data
Please list me, and those who provided me source information,
as a source(s) if you use any of my/our data. It is a courtesy
to list sources and provide contact information when you use
someone else's data.
Yes, it is common practice with online tree owners to just take
genealogy data without crediting sources, but this is rude and
unprofessional behavior. That said, many people who do use data
without citing sourced do not always intentionally mean to be
rude, most just do not know any better.
Over the last three years I have shared information with several
online tree owners. Some of those tree owners used my data but
did not credit me. Still, when or if I use any of their
information, I will list them as a source.
All I ask for is the courtesy of credit for my work and for
those who have shared their work with me.
